History, Vision and Values
Founded in 2025, we are a European-level think tank established by Schaida Ferreira, an internationalist and communicator committed to strengthening the connection between policy research, public debate, and societal impact. The organization emerged in response to a growing demand for independent, forward-looking analysis at a time of profound political, economic, and social transformation within the European Union.
From its inception, the think tank was conceived as more than a research platform. It was designed as a space for collaboration across borders and disciplines, bringing together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to engage with Europe’s most pressing challenges in a practical and accessible way.
Our vision is to produce meaningful research that does not remain confined to academic or policy circles, but can be translated and communicated clearly through multiple formats — policy papers, reports, articles, and public speeches — so as to inform debate, shape understanding, and ultimately encourage action.
From the beginning, our work has been guided by a clear set of values captured in GITA: Grow, Influence, Take Action:
- We Grow by fostering knowledge, critical thinking, and cross-border collaboration, supporting both emerging and established voices in European policy debates.
- We Influence by translating rigorous research into clear, credible insights that inform decision-makers, institutions, and the wider public.
- We Take Action by moving beyond analysis — actively engaging with stakeholders to turn ideas into tangible policy outcomes.
What began as a collaborative initiative has evolved into a platform for dialogue, evidence-based recommendations, and concrete solutions. Today, we operate at the intersection of research and action, committed to contributing to a more informed, resilient, and forward-looking Europe.
Key Priorities
Our work focuses on three core priorities at the European level: employability, sustainability, and social inclusion. These areas are deeply interconnected, each influencing — and being influenced by — the broader European policy, economic, and social landscape.
Employability is central to Europe’s economic resilience and social cohesion, shaping individual opportunity, labour market adaptability, and long-term growth across countries and regions. Sustainability underpins Europe’s capacity to deliver lasting prosperity, requiring policies that balance environmental responsibility with social and economic objectives. Social inclusion is essential to ensuring that Europe’s economic, digital, and green transitions are fair and equitable, enabling all individuals and communities to participate fully in society and the labour market.
We approach these priorities holistically, recognising that effective policymaking at the European level cannot address them in isolation. Initiatives to strengthen employability must align with sustainability goals and inclusive access; sustainability strategies must integrate social and labour dimensions; and social inclusion depends on the availability of meaningful, future-oriented employment opportunities. By addressing these priorities together, we aim to contribute to coherent, impactful, and forward-looking policy solutions across Europe.
